Membership

• Members of the VdGS/GNY receive and are listed the Society's annual membership list, an essential tool for New York area viol players to make contacts and stay in touch.

• Members vote to elect the VdGS/GNY Board of Directors.

• Members have access to the VdGS/GNY collection of rental instruments including both viols for new students and a small number of fine instruments reserved for the use of artist performers.

• Members of the VdGS/GNY receive notice of VdGS/GNY activities and the opportunity to participate in them. Each year the VdGS/GNY sponsors: a Fall Play-In open for members at all levels of ability to play consort music; an all-day workshop in the spring featuring outstanding guest faculty; a Soirée and a Matinée, two opportunities for VdGS/GNY members to perform for one another and to hear one another; several mini-workshops and masterclasses.

• Members are eligible for scholarships to help defray the expenses of workshops.

• Members can apply for the VDGS/GNY’s Conclave Chapter Voucher Grant to help financially support their attendance at VDSGA’s Conclave. Email info@vdgsgny.org to learn more details or apply.
